Dad we will always remember how you were always there to lend a hand with your trusty tool box when we needed DIY help. You were the kind of man who made people feel welcome simply by being yourself. A life long West Ham supporter you carried your team with pride through every high and low. You found joy in the simple pleasures. A good pub lunch. Proper fish and chips and holidays by the sea in Southwold and Torquay. At home you were happiest pottering around in the garden tending to your runner beans and tomatoes or listening to jazz on the radio. Nothing meant more to you than family. Your face lit up when your grandchildren and great grandchildren came to visit. You were caring helpful and giving. We will miss your kindness humour and love you gave so freely. We will never forget you Dad, you are with us in every shared memory and family gathering Forever loved, forever remembered. Janice and Terry

Sorry to hear you are no longer here in body Leonard (known to me as Malcolm's Dad) but I am sure your spirit lives on. You were fortunate to have reached such a spritely age in good health and mind with a loving family. 100 is pretty special. On the few occasions I met you, you always had a gentle chuckle and, thinking about you now, makes me smile 😃.

Tribute to My Grandad (pops) My grandad passed away just before Christmas at the incredible age of 100. What a life — and what a grandad he was. Truly, you couldn’t have asked for a better one. I’ll always treasure the summers he and my nan spent in Torquay, coming down to help us with house repairs while Nan worked her gardening magic. We’d go for walks along the seafront and down Rock Walk, then treat ourselves to rock or skate wing and chips. Afterwards, we’d head to the arcades to play on the machines — simple but special moments I’ll never forget. In more recent years, I loved spending time with him, sitting together watching movies and sharing late-night takeaways. Sometimes I’d cook for him, and we’d settle down with our food and a cup of tea — or a few pots of tea, if he had his way! He loved those moments with me and Amelia, and he always made us laugh. He even affectionately called my partner Coral “Carol,” which always cracked us up. Everyone who knew him loved him — he was one of those people who left an impression wherever he went. His family adored him, and we’ll all miss him dearly, especially me. Over the last ten years, I grew so close to him; we shared so many laughs, stories, and quiet evenings together. He was a real top geezer, and I loved him so much. Rest in peace, Pops — you’ll always be in our hearts. xxx
